Public filings // documented transformations

FROM EDGAR FILING
TO AUDITABLE RESEARCH DATA.

InsiderAlpha turns public ownership filings into a searchable research layer while keeping source lineage, quality state and derived methodology visible. The goal is not to manufacture a trading prediction; it is to make the underlying evidence easier to inspect and analyze.

01. Source ingestion

The production worker monitors covered issuers for SEC Form 4 and 4/A filings on a recurring schedule, preserving accession numbers and filing timestamps where available.

02. Canonical identity

Canonical transactions are identified by accession number, SEC transaction table and sequence. Amendments and overlapping historical representations are tracked explicitly.

03. Quality states

Deterministic validation rules assign quality, eligibility and source-verification states. Missing values remain visible; ambiguous records are not silently promoted.

Responsible operator

Operated by Daniel Antonio Melgar Mendez.

Daniel is the public point of responsibility for InsiderAlpha product questions, dataset release issues, API access and commercial-license conversations.

Response target

Product, licensing and data-quality emails are reviewed with a target response window of two business days.

Correction policy

Report suspected data issues with ticker, accession number, row identifier and release version so the source filing and transformation can be reviewed.

Release changelog

Current public release: schema 2.0.0, generated from the documented commercial package with checksum and row-count integrity records.

Research use only

InsiderAlpha publishes normalized public-filing data and descriptive research fields. It does not provide investment advice, trading recommendations or return promises.

Evidence over certainty

Institutional presentation starts with disclosed limitations.

SEC filings are issuer- and owner-reported public records. They may contain amendments, footnotes, zero-price technical events, delayed submissions and corporate-action edge cases. InsiderAlpha normalizes and enriches those records, but does not claim perfect source data or causal investment signals.
